Blundstone 2246 Chelsea Boots - Leather, Factory 2nds (For Men and Women)

I have purchased a few pair of the seconds Blundstones from Sierra now. I have studied each at length and found no discernible aesthetic difference and no problem with the quality of the leather, stitching, soles etc. That’s not to say that may not happen-
The issue I have found; and the one I reason must be why they are deemed “seconds,” is size discrepancy. Both the navy blue leather Blundstones that I purchased from Sierra and the “sneaker style” blue and orange in 6.5 were shorter than the brown leather Blundstones with red/black plaid elastic that I purchased in 6. Blundstone leather is great quality and will stretch a little and conform to your foot shape with wear. At the same time there is very little break-in time for this brand. This is one of the selling points for me. However these navy blues were not going to stretch or conform to my foot. There is simply no way to make a short shoe bed longer.

A Note about sizing. The sizing works differently out the gate. These come in whole sizes only. The .5 , or “half” sizes refer to width. If you need a wider boot, order your shoes size + the .5. You will not get a Longer shoe. That said, sometimes the wider toe box provides the extra room a person who typically wears a U.S half-size might need to be comfortable. All this to say it is not an in-between number.

Sierra sells Blundstones according to their brand sizing. So the size on the bottom of your blundstone is the size that sierra is listing it as. Easy peasy. Refer to their size chart for conversion to your U.S. shoe size.

Read the return policy carefully. Sierra has a nice return policy but there is a strict window of time. Returns are not free either. I lost out on this and wound up giving the navy blue shoes to my sister. She scored.

At the end of the day these are high quality blundstones. You may wind up with a size difference.
