Great little bagReviewed by Anonymous from Virginia on Sunday, January 31, 2021I got this bag for short hikes when I really only need some water, a snack, and my keys...and maybe my small ceramic gnome who hikes with me. This bag easily holds all that with room to spare, but doesn't feel crazy-bulky. The phone pocket is kind of small, so my Samsung S10e with a fairly slim case just barely slides into it. The claim that it's touch-capable through the clear plastic is true, but the sensitivity is obviously limited and it can be hard to get it to work.

The cover unhinges to form a chute into which fire starting tinder is placed and ignited with dual ferrocerium rods. The rods spark well and the scraper also functions well. A fairly large amount of tinder is needed to fill the base of the chute in order to make the tinder close enough to the rods to catch a spark. The tinder can be ignited, but removing the burning tinder from the chute to place on kindling can be clumsy. The whole implement is somewhat heavy compared to ordinary firesteels. The utility cord (does not seem to be actual paracord) wrapped on the black version has reflective threads which are actually sort of cool. This is not a bad product and it is priced right. I personally keep going back to the Light My Fire firesteels as they are a proven design and about as good as any of them.

It is a perfect addition to add to your wallets and purses. You can clip it to your key ring and have your drivers license, debit cards and cash right on hand. (I'm not sure if the pictures display it but the flip side is clear and you can see you id quickly. You can also keep it on a little leash and have your debit card etc ready quickly without fumbling with a big wallet. Perfect for many situations and for the price who wouldn't get one?
