I use them for road walking with the dog and casual hiking. They are supportive and bouncy but firm . I don’t feel many impact from the hard road .
I wear about a size 10 1/2 so I fall right between the 40 and 41. I ended buying 2 41’s and a 40 . The 40 seemed snug at first but loosened up with a bit of wear. I need thicker socks with the 41’s -
