Keen shoes have been helping feet find adventure since 2003, and it all began with the signature KEEN.PROTECT toe bumper. It might seem strange to build a footwear company around a feature, but that iconic toe bumper is more than just a style add-on. It’s what allows Keen sandals to hit the trails and provide the best toe protection possible. In fact, Keen was one of the first footwear companies to make closed-toed hiking sandals. Over the years, the product selection has continued to grow and now includes Keen hiking boots, trail shoes, cycling shoes, socks, clothing and bags. The brand is also actively involved in land and water conservation projects in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Will their be more sizes available?Reviewed by Anonymous shopper from Boston on Tuesday, November 19, 2024Would love to buy a pair in my correct size because I unfortunately was only left with a half a size smaller to buy but will have to return them due to them not fitting comfortably but I would love to buy them again if you could restock them in a size 10w.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Solid BootReviewed by Phoenix from Minnesota on Tuesday, November 19, 2024At a size 8.5/9 wide, I opted for the 9 here. While I wouldn't mind the boot to be a little wider, the generous toe box allows for enough movement, and a thicker sock. The bottom grip is top-notch and by far the most impressive part. I upgraded to an Oboz insole, which fits almost perfectly. With continued care, this boot should last for years to come.

1.0 out of 5 stars. Terrible DesignReviewed by Aquanut from Colorado on Tuesday, November 12, 2024Ordered my true shoe size (12). Could not even get my foot through the top of the boot to try them on. They look good but the design makes them an instant return.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Great but not waterproofReviewed by TP from Idaho on Tuesday, November 12, 2024I bought these boots to walk the Camino Santiago in Spain, this fall. The second day of our six week trek The rain came down and I was slashing in these boots. The only thing I can say is that everyone I spoke to on the trail said their boots were also supposed to be waterproof and they weren’t. I bought a waterproofing spray and used it which seem to help, as we continued on the journey. The boots are very comfortable, have a wide foot bed for me. I never experienced any blisters or any other issues with these boots. They were very comfortable for me walking hundreds of miles.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Sadly, too wideReviewed by JRS from Tahoe on Saturday, November 9, 2024I've worn Keen boots for decades now, and the wide toe never seemed too wide. These were the exception. I had to return them.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Screaming deal!Reviewed by Mkwa from N. Michigan on Monday, October 28, 2024I was leary about factory seconds. However, now that they are here I'm honestly not sure why they were even put in the seconds pile. A scuff and some slight discolored splotches on the metatarsal shield maybe. I'll do worse to em on my first trip out to the wood pile LOL. Order up size for the steel toe and top of for free shipping with some hood boot socks and yer golden bud.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Initial impression was a bit off...Reviewed by La Rana Guapo from Texas on Friday, October 25, 2024When I first tried to put these on, I thought "nobody can wear these!" The suede upper doesn't stretch. Then my wife tried them (smaller, thinner feet. No dice. "Tou should return them", says she. We'll, I'm hard headed and always liked any Keen shoes I've owned. So I put on thin socks, bent the heel down and jammed my foot in, with authority. BINGO! Foot is in, I WIN!! Haven't worn them, but a few minutes, but they seem fine. I know the suede will stretch a little, with time. So they should become easier to put on, with time. They feel like quality. Keen outsoles have never failed on me. They are a little heavy, but that just makes me think of the line from Jurrasic Park (IYKYK). I will keep them.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome Work Boots for WomenReviewed by Alyssa K. from Salida, Colorado on Tuesday, October 15, 2024I originally purchased these boots in brown a few years back when that color was still available. I’m a women’s size 8-8.5 in shoes, but I tend to steer more towards an 8.5 so I can have room to wear thick socks. My brown pair is an 8.5 that I purchased from a second hand platform online, and I was disappointed the first day I wore them to work as my big toes would constantly be grazing the end of my boots throughout the work day. The ends of my big toes would be sore by the time I clocked out. I don’t wear them very often for this reason, but I will occasionally wear them on a more low key work day as I love the way the boots look.
Fast forward to when Sierra listed this black pair of the Seattle boots… I immediately purchased a size 9 and an 8.5 just to compare sizes (and to make sure my brown pair wasn’t just a faulty design for an 8.5) Sure enough, I tried on the 8.5 black pair after they were delivered and same thing; big toes rubbing at the end of the toe box. The 9s feel perfect. I know everyone’s feet are different, but I would recommend to any woman considering these boots to at least go up half a size, possibly a full size.
