5.0 out of 5 stars. perfect for iceland summer

Picked up this tent for a july trip to iceland. It arrived within 5 days from Sierra. Easiest set up and tear downs that took about 5 minutes. Quality overall was great. Waterproof rain cover really worked and protected side from all rain. Guy lines were included, but there weren't enough stakes to set them all up. I only needed this for two people with one on the bigger side, and this tent had more than enough space. Loved the zipper on two sides of the tent instead of the one. Would buy again!

  • 1.0 out of 5 stars. Buyer Beware: Marmot Catalyst 2/3 Person
Reviewed by Martin Espinoza from California on Sunday, August 4, 2024
This tent is nice for car camping. However, I purchased a 3-person tent and they sent me a 2-person tent. I called Sierra customer service and asked if I could keep the tent and have them credit me the $20 difference toward future purposes. The nice lady on the phone said sure, but Sierra.com said no when I emailed them. They outline a nightmarish return process that I simply do not want to go through, so I told them keep the $20 and we'll part ways.
Long story short, nice product but be wary you may not get what you pay for.

About Marmot

Conceived in a university dorm room by a pair of climbing buddies, Marmot Mountain Works first opened its doors in the spring of 1974 in Grand Junction, Colorado. At the time, the base of operations was a 100-year-old stone building. That same year, the first Marmot down jacket was produced specifically for an action flick called “The Eiger Sanction,” starring legendary actor Clint Eastwood. In the four decades since, Marmot has continued to engineer reliable gear that exceeds the expectations of outdoor athletes. Today, Marmot tents, backpacks, outerwear, clothing and Marmot sleeping bags are still pushing the limits in the planet’s most challenging conditions, from the summits of the world’s highest mountains to the deepest river basins.
