This will be perfect to layer sweatshirts under throughout fall/winter. It’s not so heavy that I feel like it will be too warm - I intend to wear it on walks and hikes during the fall/early winter. I am 5’2” and it comes down right below my knees. The pockets feel fleece lined and snap closed which is a nice bonus! I am normally a L in winter coats - I ordered a large in this and it fits well!
