Scarpa of Italy was literally "born in a barn" back in 1951. Good cushioning and grip, respectable water resistance, wide toe box, and wearing nicely overall as I put more miles on them.
The biggest con I see is wear on the exposed midsole on the bottom. It’s taking a beating from rocks and roots, so that might wear before the actual sole. Minor quibble though, especially at the prices here on Sierra. -

Going to try 10 mile walking tomorrow and already confident they'll pass that test, too. Like how toe box is roomy enough to wiggle toes and cushioning is very nice, especially on hard surfaces like concrete. Glad I took a chance on these. Will also test waterproof quality next 4 days with rain.
