For more than three decades, Simms fishing gear has been trusted by world-class sportsmen and feared by fish everywhere. Founded by visionary angler John Simms, the Simms fishing apparel brand was among the first to offer high-quality neoprene waders. Over the years, this company continued innovating, eventually partnering with W.L. Gore & Associates to create waterproof breathable Gore-Tex® waders for maximum protection in all conditions. Today, Simms waders are still leading the industry. Whether you’re casting for trout deep in the Rocky Mountains or swordfishing off the Florida Keys, Simms fishing apparel and accessories are thoughtfully designed to offer a superior combination of incredible comfort, excellent durability and dependable protection from the elements.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Simms Guide ClassicReviewed by Chad from Washington State on Friday, November 15, 2024First for the good: A+ for comfort!
I love the way they fit and the functionality of the waders. They are very comfortable and allow for layering in the colder weather. They are tapered so when you are wading there isn't a bunch of extra loose material causing drag in the water. I loved them when I got them.
Now the bad: F for quality/durability
For me, they have not been durable. I have had them for less than a year, I do not abuse them, I hang them up after every use and when I change out of them I make sure to stand on my taco bag so as to prevent stepping on something sharp. The waders have already developed two leaks. One in the upper thigh area of my left leg and one in the right sock. I get wet every time I use them. I have searched and searched and even tried a repair on an area I thought was suspect, but I can't get the waders to stop leaking. They are still usable but now I have to wear waterproof pants underneath and an extra neoprene sock during the winter months. Not ideal.
I got these on sale at Sierra, so it didn't break the bank, but my original pair of cheap $99 Frog Toggs held up better than these. Matter of fact, I had them for two years and they never leaked. I would expect better quality for a pair of waders that retail for $549. Prior to getting my leaks, I bought my son a pair as well for his birthday. He has had them for about three months. We will see how they hold up. Maybe I just got unlucky.
If I was going to pay full price for a higher-end wader, I would likely switch to a competitor brand after this experience. This is my first experience with Simms gear, a little disappointed since they are supposed to be the leader in the industry. -
5.0 out of 5 stars. Very warm for the weightReviewed by The Outlawyer from SWVA on Friday, November 8, 2024Unspectacular, well made hoody with a quality zipper. The rayon blend makes it warm, the design is for fishing. Looks as above. I recommend it. Oh.. It launders well. Hang to dry.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Not true to sizeReviewed by Timmer from Nevada on Tuesday, July 23, 2024I have other Simms clothing and these shorts fit a lot smaller than the size I received. Love Simms products but can’t give these more stars due to the sizing.
