The recommendation is to size down 1 size from your women's size for these (unisex). I'm a 2X-3X in women's so I bought the XXL. They are a little loose on my legs, not tight like leggings, but not waving around either. The faux fly is covered by my shirts. A little bit of the lower pocket seam is visible, however. The pockets lie flat, unlike in the stock photo. They are full-length pants on me with a slight amount of extra at the ankle (5'10" tall, wearing waistband at natural waist.). Comfortable fabric, no scratching or irritation. Comfy on a plane and for cooler-weather activities (I'd say 74 degrees or cooler, maybe a little warmer if the humidity is low).
