Much like the fire pits from Solo Stove, it has different thermal properties that make it more heat efficient. The problem is that most people are used to less efficient grills so have different expectations of cooking heat and time. The Solo Grill is sort of like an oven when the lid is on and will cook far more efficiently. It has a learning curve and perhaps it’s why it was discontinued by Solo Stove but once you learn its ways, it’s a superior grill. It’s just far more heat efficient. I also like it’s actually portable and comes with a high quality carrying case. A lot of people compliment the looks and then its performance. If you’re willing to learn how to use this special grill, it’s quite rewarding.
