Most Helpful 1-Star Review

1.0 out of 5 stars. No Cushion in Sole and Weird Narrow Toe Box
Reviewed by Kate from Virginia on Sunday, October 13, 2024
I had high hopes for these because they're Timberlands. I own another pair of Tims that fit me great and are quite comfy, but not these. First, I tried these on with a thin sock, and the toe box was quite narrow across the ball of the foot, but only there. The area where my toes were was roomy and my toes would have been able to spread out just fine had the boots not been pinching my feet inward across the balls of my feet. I don't have wide feet. Also, the heel has zero cushioning and felt very hard. These wouldn't have been comfortable to walk or stand in for any significant amount of time. Finally, the color is quite different IRL. The boots are a pale, creamy grey with a green undertone -- like the color of new cement. They don't at all look like the online photo, which shows a pale beige with a pink undertone.

About Timberland

The Timberland footwear brand was officially launched in 1973, more than two decades after founder Nathan Swartz bought an interest in an established shoe company. Eight years earlier, the Swartz family had introduced injection-molding technology to the footwear industry. Today, this revolutionary manufacturing process is still being used to fuse the soles and uppers of Timberland boots without stitching, a process that allows for truly waterproof boots. Over the years, Timberland shoes and boots have continued to advance, incorporating modern features like Active Comfort Technology to provide a balance of cushioning, support and climate control. In 2008, Timberland also became the first footwear company to commercialize the use of rubber from recycled tires.
