5.0 out of 5 stars. Nice coatReviewed by Ashley from Washington on Monday, August 19, 2024I have ordered a short one with size S which is thinner and good for summer time. However, I can’t wear a down coat under due to it is too short. So I purchase this one with XS. I was worried if I can wear my down coat under. It works out. I order black one and luckily, this is the only one I have two ways zippers. And I think this size is more accurate and more fit. I like this one the most. Even I have long one with XS, but I can tell from the back, it is a little large. But this one with XS, perfect fits. But overall, with this price and gore-tax coat, it is a good buy. I do wear the short one hiking in the rain, I am dry. This is why I come back to buy more.

4.0 out of 5 stars. kept me dryReviewed by Pacific Northwest hiker from By Seattle on Saturday, June 15, 2024worn on a raining, hailing, snowing mountain hike today. Yes, in June. Kept me dry. Only thing is the sleeves could be a tad longer. My shirt sleeves at the wrist got a little wet, then it wicked up a bit. My hiking partner was not as dry. Fully weather tested this jacket today. It has pockets within the pockets, which made it a little hard to locate the 100% dry kleenex. Fully seem sealed. Recommend. Especially at this price.

4.0 out of 5 stars. good qualityReviewed by sj from CA on Sunday, February 11, 2024Be aware, the black color I received did not have a 2 way zipper, but the orange color does. Runs big, I'm normally between M and L. I kept the M (still has room for layers). Worked great in last storm. Only downside is no pit zippers, otherwise great jacket.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Runs a little big but that’s okReviewed by Cosmic Alchemest from Mars on Wednesday, February 7, 2024I got a large & im usually a large but I think this jacket runs a little big. I think I could wear a medium, I am not sure if I want to exchange it yet or not. It’s definitely got a 2-way zipper, I’m not sure what jacket the other reviewer was reviewing, but I couldn’t have been this one. The hand pockets are very generous in size & have small pockets inside them. There’s also 2 inside zippered pockets. The cuffs have inner cuffs with elastic & snaps that make the sleeves work for different arm lengths. I’m only 5’4 & the sleeves are not too long on me in a size large due to these cuffs. There’s also a nice collar that snaps inside the hood to make it more wind resistant. It’s high quality 3 layer seam sealed gortex. It was originally $450, so $49 is a steal for it. I got the black absence which is dark grey, not black, but at this price, I might want a second color. There’s not a wire in the hood brim as the description states, but it is adjustable.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Not a 2-way zipperReviewed by Gillian Wine from Arizona on Thursday, February 1, 2024Other than the zipper, not a bad shell. The sleeves have a snap to keep out the cold and snow. Seems to run pretty true to size but maybe slightly on the smaller side.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Pics do not do this jacket justice!Reviewed by EM from Chicago on Monday, January 29, 2024Ordered this and the longer insulated one. It's not as boxy looking as in the pics. Keeping both but prefer this one. The construction of this jacket is impeccable, it's light weight, and well thought out for city use. Sleeves are the perfect length. I'll use these jackets as shells in 40°F and up (layering accordingly). I'm 5'1" 115lbs and ordered XS. Viev XS fits similar to a Marmot S.
